Firstly we would really like to say "Thank you" for the great response we received to last weeks newsletter and video.
It seems that everybody who contacted us had enjoyed it, however, we would still like to hear from you even if you have reservations about the idea. We enjoyed doing the video. Obviously the main aim is to show the papers and what is available on the site but we will also slip in some other craft related information. We will try and keep it as general as possible so it is suitable for everyone but obviously most of the Craft Fair information will have a UK bias. However we hope to bring you a couple of short "reports" and hope everyone will be interested in what Craft Shows in the UK are like.
We realise there is a slight issue with the sound and we have ordered new microphones which we hope will be with us by next week.
Chess Papers.
These are a really nice set of papers, made for slightly older people although I'm sure there are still young chess players around. The set includes 1 sheet topper / simple decoupage so it is possible to make a complete card just with these papers.
We are continuing to try and cover as many sports as possible. This week its sailing. OK this is rather a niche sport but a surprising number of people do take part in it in one form or another. There are also people who just sail for pleasure. You will find the normal backing papers, insert and tags in this set.
FREE CRAFT STUFF
for sites with 1,000s more downloads on them. We are updating this site on a weekly basis, adding both new sections and new links. There are currently over 860 links, all hand checked to ensure the are live and contain free craft items. More sites have been added (together with the removal of a few sites which no longer offered free downloads). We do all the work so you can be confident in finding what you need. (see the "Latest Links" section for new sites). www.freecraftstuff.co.uk
CRAFT CALENDAR A few large Craft Shows on this week. Wood Green Animal Centre is holding a craft and gift show. The Craft and Stitch show is on at Olympia in London and Living Heritage is holding a Craft and Country Fair at Thorsby Park in Nottinghamshire (I shall be visiting this one!). You can see some pictures of last years Thorsby show in this weeks video www.craftcalendar.co.uk
Special Days.
With both Easter and Mothers day(UK) coming up shortly we would like to remind you about our "Special Days" pages. Each page lists many of the papers we have on the site for that particular day. By using these pages you can easily find the backing papers, templates, decoupage etc which you will need.
Hopefully you will already be keeping an eye on the projects section but if not you should pop over there this week as Janet has posted one using the latest chess papers.
Remember that all forum members are able to both post projects in this section and comment on other members projects.
We have made a few little changes to the newsletter, giving a bit more space around images etc to make it a little more readable. Next week we are hoping to bring you some Easter papers, mainly Pyramid sheets. We also hope to include a little video footage from this weekends Craft and Country Show at Thorsby Park.
Happy Crafting
Yours
Bob
